Guideline website
Present writes the brand’s guideline as a website: one folder of HTML your client can open with a double-click, or you can host anywhere. Studio is one page in eight sections, free. Editorial is eleven sections, with a PDF printed from the same page.
Before you start
- Save the brand: Save brand on the Brand screen, or Save as brand logo in Inspect.
- Confirm the name: Present › Details, then Save details.
- Check the export folder. It starts as the folder your .ai file is in.
- Export the logo files and tokens first if the site should offer them: it copies what it finds in the folder.

Fonts
Editorial embeds the brand’s fonts in the page. Linyal includes nine open-licence families: Inter, Space Grotesk, Manrope, Playfair Display, IBM Plex Sans, Instrument Serif, IBM Plex Mono, DM Sans and DM Mono. Any other is embedded from your own WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF files, once you tick “My licence lets me embed it in a website”. Without that, the page names the font and shows it only where it is installed.
Studio names the brand’s fonts and embeds none.
Photographs
Every photograph is copied into the site with its location, camera, dates and other metadata removed; the picture, its colour profile and its orientation stay. On a Mac, photographs over 2,400 px are scaled down, and an iPhone’s HEIC becomes a JPEG. Your own files are never changed. A photograph Linyal can’t clean is left out, and named.
In the folder
index.html- The page. Open it, or upload the whole folder.
- Logo and token files
- Copies of the SVG, PDF and PNG logo files and the tokens found in the export folder.
- PDFs
- The guideline PDF with Editorial, the Studio deck PDF if you made one, and the handover report PDF if it is current.
assets/,licences/- Your photographs, and the licences of the fonts it embeds.
linyal-site.json- A record of what the export wrote, and which sections it left out.
The folder is <brand>-site, inside your export folder. The page asks no server for anything but its own files, tracks nobody, and asks search engines not to index it. Until you buy Pro, its footer says “Made with Linyal · linyal.com”.
Limits
- A section with nothing to show is left out. The status line counts them, “Wrote 26 files; 1 section left out”, without naming them; linyal-site.json does.
- Lockups need a wordmark: without one, Studio leaves Lockups out and Editorial shows the mark alone.
- Studio doesn’t embed fonts, and the Export screen doesn’t say so. Use Editorial, or tell your client which fonts to install.
- The site doesn’t carry the CMYK print PDF; it stays with the logo files.
- On a light brand colour, Studio’s navigation and footer text is faint.
