No. Linyal measures the anchor points and curves in your file, inside Illustrator. Nothing is generated, and your artwork is never sent anywhere to be analysed.

No. Your artwork, your brand data and your files stay on your computer. Linyal reads and measures them inside Illustrator.

Only when you press a button. Clean up removes anchor points that change nothing; Draw construction and Draw clear space add layers of their own that you can delete; Save as brand logo leaves the drawing as it is. Use Illustrator’s Undo if a change isn’t what you wanted.

Pro’s tools close by themselves at the end of that day, in every panel, online or not. Nothing you made is taken away: the drawings stay in your documents, and you can still remove them; the guideline websites, PDFs and files you exported stay yours and keep working. Free goes on as before.

Until you buy Pro, the guideline website, its PDF and the Studio deck end with a small line, “Made with Linyal · linyal.com”, also while every Pro tool is open to everyone. A Pro licence leaves it out. The handover report names Linyal only if you tick “Measured with Linyal”.

Until the date shown on this page, every Pro tool is open to everyone: construction and clear space, the Editorial guideline website, logo files, tokens and the handover report. There is nothing to sign up for and no key to enter: install Linyal and use it. Guideline websites and PDFs keep the “Made with Linyal” line; it goes when you buy Pro.

No. The guideline website is one folder of HTML they can open or host anywhere, and the PDFs and logo files open in any app.

Yes. Linyal runs in Illustrator 2025 (v29) or newer, on Mac and Windows. If anything doesn’t work as it should on Windows, write to hello@linyal.com and we’ll fix it.

Free includes the Studio guideline website. Always free, whatever the split: Inspect’s readout, Clean up’s safe removals and its tightest step, the grid systems in Build, and the Studio deck’s PDF.

Pro draws the construction and the clear space into your document, and adds Clean up’s three looser steps, Circle through 3 points, one-click logo fixes, the full brand check, the deck’s construction, clear space and lockups pages, the Editorial guideline website and its PDF, logo files, design tokens and the handover report. Your guideline websites and PDFs no longer say “Made with Linyal”.

The price is announced before the trial ends. One payment, no subscription. Your key keeps working with every new version of Linyal, and nothing Pro you have is ever taken away. New Pro grid systems released within a year of buying are included.

Two at a time. To move the key, deactivate it in Settings on the old machine, then activate it on the new one.

Yes. Email hello@linyal.com from your school address, or with a photo of your student card, and we send you a code that makes Pro free at checkout. You get a normal licence key, for study and portfolio work while you study; paid client work needs Pro.

Polar, our merchant of record. Polar charges VAT where it applies and sends the receipt, which carries your licence key.

Yes. Within 14 days of buying, write to hello@linyal.com and we refund you in full, through Polar. The key stops working at the panel’s next licence check, and nothing you made is taken away.
